50 gold bars recovered from Biman plane
Customs officials recovered 50 gold bars, weighing 5.8kg, from an aircraft of Biman Bangladesh Airlines at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport yesterday morning.
The gold was hidden under a seat of Biman flight BG-022, which landed at the airport from Muscat at 8:40am, said Sazzad Hossain, assistant commissioner of customs.
A customs team searched the aircraft and found the bars, he added. None were arrested in this connection.
