3-year-old allegedly raped by teenager in city’s Bosila

A three-and-half-year-old girl was alleged raped by a teenager in the city’s Bosila area this afternoon.

The victim was sent to the one-stop crisis centre in Dhaka Medical College Hospital for treatment and necessary tests.

Police detained a 14-year-old boy, an employee of a shop in the area, in this connection after the victim’s family lodged a complaint regarding the rape with police, said sub-inspector Altaf Hossain of Mohammadpur Police Station.

Quoting the victim’s family, the police officer said the accused offered the child a chocolate, took her inside the shop and then raped her.

Later, the girl went to her house, where her family came to know about the incident. They went and held the accused and called the police, he said.
