Naba Bikram new ICIMOD chief

Secretary to the Ministry of Chittagong Hill Tracts Affairs Naba Bikram Kishore Tripura has been selected as the chairperson of the Board of Governors of the International Centre for Integrated Mountain Development (ICIMOD) for 2016.

The decision was taken on Monday at ICIMOD's 46th meeting held in China, says a press release. Earlier, he was a member of the board.

ICIMOD, based in Nepal, is a regional intergovernmental learning and knowledge sharing centre serving the eight regional member countries of the Hindu Kush Himalayas. Bangladesh is its founding member.
