Mobile courts realise Tk 1.33 lakh for selling adulterated foods
The Bangladesh Standards and Testing Institution (BSTI) authorities realised Tk 1.33 lakh by conducting 18 mobile court drives at different shops for selling adulterated foods and not using digital weighing machines, said a press release.
The mobile courts conducted drives at bakeries, fruits and grocery shops, departmental stores, kitchen markets, clothes and jewellery shops and petrol pumps in Jessore, Kushtia, Magura, Meherpur, Satkhira, Chuadanga and Khulna.
Director of BSTI Abdul Mannan said, a total of 29 cases have been filed against the shop owners.
