Police today recovered the body of a minor boy stuffed in a travel bag at Banani in Dhaka.
The bag was left abandoned on a Savar-bound bus, said Bhuiyan Mahbub Hasan, officer-in-charge of Banani Police Station.
The bus operates on the Uttara-Savar route via Gabtoli in the capital, the OC added.
Police suspect that some people left the bag and got off the bus.
As nobody claimed the possession of the bag, passengers thought there was a bomb inside it, the OC said.
On information, police reached the spot and recovered the body without any clothes from the bag around 5:30pm, he told The Daily Star.
The identity of the around seven-year-old boycould not be known immediately.
The law enforcers seized the bus and picked up its driver and helper.
