Menon hospitalised after morning walk fall

Social Welfare Minister Rashed Khan Menon was hospitalised yesterday after he was injured due to a fall during his morning walk at his government residence in the capital.

Immediately after the incident, Menon was rushed to Square Hospitals where he is admitted now, Anisur Rahman Mollick, politburo member of Workers Party of Bangladesh, told The Daily Star in the afternoon.

A bone in Menon's hip joint has been found to have developed fractures, he said, adding that the minister slipped and fell on the ground around 7:00am inside his Minto Road residence.
