Medical college admission test results out

The Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) yesterday published results of the MBBS admission tests held on October 7.

The results have been uploaded to the DGHS website, and candidates can instantly check their results," DGHS Director General Prof Dr Abul Kalam Azad told The Daily Star.

The web link is: http://result.dghs.gov.bd/.

This year over 90,000 candidates applied for admission. Of them, 85,207 candidates appeared in the tests for 3,212 seats in public and 6,205 seats in private medical colleges, Prof Azad said.

The highest mark is 85.5 and the lowest is 70…, he mentioned.

The pass mark was 40 in the 100 marks Multiple Choice Question test, scored by 29,183 candidates.

"This year we got the answer scripts checked in computerised systems by two independent groups -- one of Dhaka University and the other of the Shahjalal University of Science and Technology," said the official, adding that there was no chance for the results to be wrong.

The images of the answer sheets have been recorded in the computer systems. Anyone complaining about the results can easily have a chance to see their answer sheets, as the authorities would not need to search for manual files, the DG said.

The admission process will start on October 20.
