Man 'kills' wife, stepson

A man allegedly killed his wife and stepson and injured his stepdaughter in Keraniganj, outside the capital, early yesterday.

The deceased were Sahera Begum, 35, and her son Faisal, 7. Sahera's daughter Jannat, 11, is undergoing treatment at Dhaka Medical College Hospital.

Police said Ishaq Ali, 40, a day labourer, married Sahera about one and a half years back. Later he remarried.

Following a quarrel over the matter on Tuesday night he hacked the three. While he was trying to flee, locals, seeing his blood-stained clothes caught him, police added.
