A man was killed in his building's roof in the capital's Gendaria in broad daylight yesterday.

Sunny Sarkar, 45, lived on Alamganj Road.

His elder sister Yeasmin Begum said, “Suddenly I saw Sunny appeared there from upstairs clutching his throat and stomach and blood was oozing out of his wounds. I asked him who did this but he could not speak as his throat was partly cut. But when I asked if it was my domestic help, Jummon, Sunny nodded.” He was declared dead at Dhaka Medical College Hospital.

Yeasmin, who owns the building, went to the house with her son Md Mishal and Jummon alias Sagar on Thursday to repair the building.

Police said Jummon is absconding while Mishal was detained for interrogation.
