Justice Md Ansar Ali's death anniversary today

Today is the 23rd death anniversary of eminent lawyer and justice Md Ansar Ali, said a press release. 

A doa-mahfil, qurankhwani and discussion have been arranged by his family in Badalgachhi village in Naogaon to pray for his departed soul.

Justice Md Ansar joined the then Dhaka High Court under Pakistan Supreme Court in 1962. During his student-life, he played an active role in the Language Movement.

The "Matribhasha Padak" was conferred on him in 2001, posthumously.

He was elected president of Rangpur High Court Bar Association twice and was elected vice-president of Bangladesh Legal Aid Society.
