Journo attacked in Dhamrai

A journalist of Bangla daily Karatoa was attacked with hockey sticks by miscreants yesterday at Bonerchor of Dhamrai for writing a report on gambling two months ago.

Shahin Alom, Dhamrai correspondent of the daily, was admitted to Dhamrai Upazila Health Complex with injuries in head and shoulder.

Shahin said earlier he informed police after the miscreants -- including Mehedi Hasan Badol, Obaidul Islam, Babu, Nahid Hasan Jewel and Nahid -- threatened him with death.
