The third death anniversary of Habibur Rahman Milon, former advisory editor of the daily Ittefaq, was observed yesterday.
A recipient of Ekushey Padak, the journalist was the chairman of Press Institute of Bangladesh (PIB) and former president of Bangladesh Federal Union of Journalists (BFUJ).
Milon was born in 1935 in Brahmanbaria. He began his career with the daily Sangbad in 1963 and later worked for the daily Paygam and daily Azad.
His other awards include Jatir Janak Award, Shaheed Suhrawardy Award, BFUJ Award and Barrister A Rasul Gold Medal.
