JMB leader Gaffar shown arrested in Ctg grenade attack case
Jama’atul Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB) leader Abdul Gaffar of Tangail was yesterday shown arrested in the case filed over carrying out grenade attacks at two mosques inside Bangladesh Navy’s Issa Khan Base in Chittagong during Juma prayers in December 2015.
After hearing on a petition, Chittagong Metropolitan Magistrate Nazmul Hossain Chowdhury passed the order, confirmed additional deputy commissioner (prosecution) Nirmalendu Bikash Chakraborty.
On January 15, police lodged a petition with the court seeking permission to show him arrested in the grenade attack case, said court sources.
