Int'l Sky Marathon in Bandarban Dec 19

In a bid to promote tourism in Bangladesh, the International Sky Marathon will be held in the hilly area of Bandarban for the first time on December 19.

Musa Ibrahim, the first Bangladeshi ever to conquer Mount Everest, said they are organising the marathon to showcase Bangladesh differently to the world.

He was addressing a Meet the Press organised at The Daily Star Centre to announce the marathon at Bandarban.

Before the Sky Marathon, there will be Mini Sky Marathons in eight places of the country:  in Sylhet on November 6, Barisal on November 13, Amtoli upazila of Barguna on November 14, Rangpur on November 20, Rajshahi on November 21, Khulna on November 22, Chittagong on November 27 and Mymensingh on November 28.

 Besides, there will be a corporate sky marathon on December 4 and a kids sky mini marathon on December 5.
