Indian national arrested with firearms

Members of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) arrested an Indian national with three pistols in Kushkhali bordering area of Satkhira yesterday.

The arrestee is Gopal Biswas, 35, an inhabitant of Khalsi village in North 24 Parganas of West Bengal.

BGB 38 battalion’s Deputy Chief Maj Aminur Rahman said on information, a team of BGB men arrested Gopal when he trespassed into Bangladesh territory through boarding area near pillar no-2.

Later, the firearms were found after searching his body, said the BGB official.
