Hill slope dwellers in Ctg asked to go to safer places

The Chittagong district administration yesterday asked the people dwelling on the risky hill slopes in the city to move to safer places due to heavy downpours.

The announcement was made through loudspeakers at Lalkhan Bazar, Moti Jharna, Tankir Pahar, Batali Hill, Bishwa Colony, Tiger Pass, Bayezid and Akber Shah areas, said Chittagong Deputy Commissioner Mejhbah Uddin.

Four government schools in the areas will be kept open for the people, he added.
