HC's verdict on Fakhrul's bail plea Nov 16
The High Court yesterday fixed November 16 for delivering a judgment on three petitions filed by BNP acting secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir seeking bail in three arson and vandalism cases.
The court on June 21 granted ad-interim bail and issued three separate rules upon the government to explain why the BNP leader will not get regular bail. Yesterday the court heard the rules.
On November 2, the Supreme Court ordered Fakhrul to surrender before a lower court and asked the HC to hear and dispose of the rules in two weeks.
