'Gunfight' kills 'drug peddler'

An alleged drug peddler was killed in a so-called gunfight with Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) in the capital's Kadamtali area last night.

The deceased was identified as Imran, 35. He was the brother of well-known robber and drug peddler Billal, said Sahabuddin Khan, commanding officer of Rab-10.

Three Rab officials were also injured in the gunfight, the officer told The Daily Star. Police said Imran was accused in 13 drug and murder cases.
