Golapbagh playground to be freed soon

Golapbagh playground will be freed from illegal occupation shortly so that children can play there uninhibited, said Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) Mayor Sayeed Khokon yesterday.

Addressing a programme to meet the city dwellers at Dhalpur Community Centre, Khokon said he will remove all the equipments and construction material from the playground with the help of every ward councilors and police administration and will prepare a planned  city incorporating the eight union parishads, which was being added to the DSCC few days back.

About Jurain graveyard boundary wall, the mayor said they will start the work within the next month.

He also assured to renovate the gymnasium and library in the Dholpur Community Centre shortly.

 Earlier, Khokon took part in a token mosquito control activities and garbage management works in the area.

Chief Executive Officer of DSCC Khan Mohammad Billal and local ward councilor was also present.
