Four killed in road accidents

Four people were killed and eight others injured in road accidents in three districts yesterday and on Wednesday.

In Dinajpur Sadar, two people were killed and eight others injured when a truck collided head-on with a three-wheeler carrying them and five cattle on Dinajpur-Rangpur highway near Gopalganjyesterday.

The deceased were Abdus Sattar, 65, of Shivrampur village and Md Babu, 30, of Moharajpur village under Dinajpur Sadar. Three cattle were also killed in the accident.

In Chapainawabganj, Badal Pramanik, 45, of Saharpukur-Bherendi was killed when a sand-laden tractor hit him in Sonaichandi area of Nachole upazila yesterday.

In Magura Sadar, Atiar Rahma, 60, of Parnanduali village was killed when a microbus ran him over on Dhaka-Magura highway in Parnanduali area on Wednesday night.
