Four die 'saving boy'

Yesterday afternoon Atiqur Rahman Pavel, Tusar, Limon and Ovi decided to travel to the capital. They got on a private car and started their journey amid planning for business and especially how to take it further. By the time they reached Purinda of Araihazar upazila in Narayanganj it was almost 5:30pm. Though they were being careful, what they did not expect was an eight-year-old boy, lost in his thoughts, crossing the highway.
The driver swerved, to avoid hitting the boy and lost control over the vehicle, which plunged into a ditch beside the Dhaka-Sylhet highway.
Tusher died on the spot and the rest were taken to the Apollo Hospitals Dhaka, where they breathed their last, said Sub-inspector of Araihazar Police Station Abdus Salam.
Inspector (investigation) of the station Shafiul Azam, quoting locals, said the boy was crossing the highway, while trying to save his life the driver took a sharp turn, lost control over the vehicle, and fell into the ditch.
