Formation of 9th wage board for journalists demanded

A faction of Bangladesh Federal Union of Journalists (BFUJ) yesterday demanded formation of the ninth wage board for journalists as well as press employees and workers.

The BFUJ made the demand at an extended meeting at Jatiya Press Club with its president Golam Mohiuddin Khan in the chair. They called for maintaining professional journalistic excellence imbued with the spirit of the Liberation War.

Former general secretary of JPC Quamrul Islam Chowdhury, journalist leaders Zahurul Alam, and Abdul Baset Mia also  spoke.
