Five remanded in Dakshin Khan gang rape case

Five youths, who were arrested on charges of gang-raping a teenage girl in a house in Dakshin Khan area of the capital on Sunday, have been placed on a two-day remand.

Inspector (investigation) of Dakshin Khan Police Station Sheikh Rokonuzzaman said police produced the accused before a Dhaka court with a 10-day remand prayer for each, but the court granted a 2-day remand each.

Police are in drive to arrest other two absconding accused. The victim was admitted to Dhaka Medical College Hospital yesterday.
