Five arrested with 5,303 yaba pills in Ctg

The officials of Department of Narcotics Control (DNC) arrested five people with 5,303 yaba pills in separate drives in Chittagong yesterday.
The arrested are Aiyub Khaun alias Fazle Haque, 50, Hasan Ahmed, 50, Runa Begum, 45, Fatema, 18, and Mahmuda Ahkter alias Manika, 26, said Shahmim Ahmed, a deputy director of DNC.
For all latest news, follow The Daily Star's Google News channel. Ayiub, a Rohingya man, was arrested with 2,500 pieces of yaba in Mariners Road area, said Shamim.
Hasan Ahmed and Runa Begum, a couple, were arrested with 1,700 pills in Jubilee road area, he said.
In KC Dey Road area, Fatema was arrested with 1,000 pills and Mahmuda was held with 103 pieces in Bayezid area, he added.
