Islambagh building fire under control
Fire fighters today brought under control the flames of a fire that was erupted at a residential building at Islambagh of Old Dhaka.
Six units of the fire fighters brought the flames under control in an hour-long frantic effort around 12:10pm, said a duty officer at the control room of Fire Service and Civil Defence headquarters.
The origin of the fire that broke out on the fourth floor of the eight-storey building called Gazi Tower, was not known immediately, he said.
No casualty was reported, he added.
