Fulbaria market fire under control

The fire at a multistoried market in Fulbaria was brought under control this evening, around two hours into its inception.

However, no casualty was reported immediately.

Fourteen fire fighting units brought the flames under control two hours after the fire originated around 7:45pm, said Shakil Newaz, director (operation) of Fire Service and Civil Defence.

The origin of the fire was yet to be ascertained, he said.

The fire broke out at a shop at the fourth floor of the multistoried market complex, said Palash Chandra Pada, duty officer of the fire service control room.
