Paribagh high-rise building fire doused
A fire that broke out at a flat of a high-rise building in Paribagh of Dhaka this afternoon has been doused.
Eights unites of firefighters doused the blaze nearly two hours after the fire erupted on the 10th floor of the 15-storey building around 2:10pm, Md Russell, duty officer of Fire Service and Civil Defence control room, told The Daily Star.
However, no casualties were reported, he said.
Abul Hasan, officer-in-charge of Shahbagh Police Station, told The Daily Star that the fire might be originated from an electric short circuit as the flat was closed and there were no inmates in the house.
