Law enforcers have arrested three students of Dhaka University over their alleged involvement in extorting money by leaking fake questions to examinees.
Chief Metropolitan Magistrate’s Court in Dhaka today placed them on two-day remand each after they were produced before the court on these charges.
Police arrested the trio from Hazaribagh, Dhaka last night around 8:00pm, said Md Nazmul Islam, additional deputy commissioner of Dhaka Metropolitan Police’s cybercrime division.
Fake question papers were found in their possession, he said.
The arrestees were identified as: Imran Khasru, student of English department and a resident of Surya Sen Hall; Ahsan Habib, student of linguistics department and a resident of Surya Sen Hall; and Rakib, student of Linguistics department and a resident of Mohsin Hall.
They were shown arrested in a case filed with Hazaribagh Police Station on the same day.
