Essay competition on Abul Mansur Ahmad

Abul Mansur Ahmad (September 3, 1898 – March 18, 1979).

Abul Mansur Ahmad Smriti Parishad is going to launch essay contests in honour of the renowned politician, journalist and litterateur. Three separate competitions will be held on the topics "Relevance of Abul Mansur Ahmad in (a) contemporary politics, (b) journalism and (c) literature". The best submissions will be awarded a prize of Tk 10,000. Books worth Tk 5,000 will be given as second prize.

The participants must be 18 to 30 years old. The essay will have to be in Bangla and well researched. The last day of submission is August 1, 2018. The author must submit a declaration that the essay is original and has not been published before. A jury of eminent writers will select the winners.

After the final selection, the prizes will be awarded in September this year to mark the birth anniversary of the renowned writer.
