Duta condemns atrocities on Rohingyas
Dhaka University Teachers' Association (Duta) yesterday condemned the atrocities on Rohingyas in Myanmar and demanded immediate stop to such violence.
They also urged the United Nations and international community to take steps to stop the barbaric acts to ensure regional peace.
In a statement, the association demanded that the Rohingya refugees be taken back to their homeland in Myanmar from Bangladesh.
Meanwhile, at a recent meeting with Canadian International Development Minister Marie-Claude Bibeau, Foreign Minister AH Mahmood Ali said since August 25, more than 4,00,000 Rohingyas have so far come to Bangladesh and are still coming.
As of now, Bangladesh is hosting over 8,00,000 Rohingyas, he added.
