Don't show Mannan arrested without warrant: SC

The Supreme Court yesterday upheld a High Court order that directed the government not to show MA Mannan, suspended mayor of Gazipur City Corporation, arrested in any case without arrest warrant.

A four-member bench of the Appellate Division headed by Chief Justice Surendra Kumar Sinha passed the order dismissing a petition recently filed by the government seeking stay on the HC order.

The HC on November 29 also ordered law enforcers not to arrest Mannan at jail gate after his release.
