Digital attendance system introduced at DSCC

Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) introduced a digital attendance management system yesterday.

A total of 1,085 staff of Nagar Bhaban and two zones of the DSCC have come under the new system, said an official.

While inaugurating the system, DSCC Mayor Sayeed Khokon urged every official and employee to come forward to ensure civic amenities.

Under the new system, the staff will have to press their fingers on a machine from 8:30am to 9:15am to enter the offices and similarly between 4:45pm and 7:00pm to leave.

They will be considered as latecomers if they punch between 9:16am and 10:00am, and if they punch after 10:00am, they will be treated as absent, said the official.

In the second phase, the system will be introduced at the three hospitals and three other zonal offices of DSCC, he added.
