A developed country by 2041 if AL goes to power

PM says; JS adopts resolution thanking her

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina last night said Bangladesh would become a developed country by 2041 if people vote for boat, the electoral symbol of her party Awami League, in the next general elections.

“The Election Commission has announced that the next election would be held in December. If people vote for us and give us the opportunity to come to power again, Bangladesh would become a developed country by 2041,” she said in her speech in parliament.

“I therefore leave it to the people. If they want development, they will vote Awami League to power. There will be no problem if any other party gets elected and can maintain the current pace of development. But I have doubt about that.”

Mentioning the country's achieving eligible for graduating to a developing country from the least developed one, the PM assured the countrymen for resolving the rest of the problems in the country.

The premier said the nation would get loan from donor agencies easily as it got elevated to developing country status.
