CPB for effective law to contain house rent

Leaders of Communist Party of Bangladesh (CPB) yesterday demanded that an effective law be enacted to control unbridled house rent in order to ease the sufferings of tenants.

Dhaka has turned into an unliveable city. The lower-income group and middle-class are not able to bear the growing house rent, which puts their lives in jeopardy, they said.

CPB organised the rally in front of its Mukti Bhaban office in the capital.
