Construction worker falls to death

A construction worker died after falling from the second floor of an under-construction building in the capital's Gulshan-1 yesterday.

The deceased was Swapan Meer, 23, of Laxmipur.

Victim's cousin said Swapan was taking measurement of a wall for setting glasses on the floor of the 14-storey building. At one stage, he went to the edge of the wall and fell to the ground as his legs slipped. Swapan was declared dead at Dhaka Medical College Hospital.
