CITY OF MISFORTUNE

Rain or shine, misfortune follows Dhaka residents. During the dry season, when Dhaka turns into a dustbowl, the city dwellers long for the rainy season for respite. But when the rain comes, a dysfunctional drainage system offers them only sufferings. Only a couple hours of moderate seasonal downpour on Tuesday night and early Wednesday morning left the residents with a waterlogged city.
