Chief justice returns home

Chief Justice Surendra Kumar Sinha returned to Dhaka last night after his visit to Canada and Japan.

“He has reached Dhaka around 10:30pm,” High Court Registrar Abu Syed Diljar Hussain told The Daily Star last night.

On September 8, the CJ left for Canada to see his ailing daughter.

From there, he travelled to Japan on September 18 to attend a conference of chief justices of Asia and the Pacific.
