Case filed over pro-AL leader's death

Mother of the slain Jubo League leader filed a murder case against unidentified persons yesterday morning, hours after his body was found with strangulation mark in a canal in Chittagong's Fatikchhari upazila on Tuesday night.  

Md Enam, 36, president of Abdullahpur Union unit, went missing since he went to a local market on Sunday evening, said his wife Shahana Akther Jannat. On Monday, hours after filing a general diary, Jannat got a call, made from Enam's phone, demanding Tk 1.20 lakh as ransom.

Sub Inspector Nurul Karim, also the investigation officer, said they were trying to trace the caller.
