BSTI sues 25 Ctg shops for cheating in weight
Bangladesh Standards and Testing Institution (BSTI) yesterday filed 25 cases against 25 shops in Chittagong city for cheating in weight of products.
The cases were filed with the court of Chief Metropolitan Magistrate following a drive led by BSTI Assistant Director Rezaul Karim.
During the drive, BSTI team found five oil shops in Kadamtali and the other shops in Chaktai and Asadganj were not having weight verification certificate and using non-standard measures for weighing goods.
