Brac will carry out a month-long emergency relief programme to help people in the haor (low-lying wetland) area hit by flash-floods.

The development organisation began its regular relief effort immediately after the flood hit, but with the fast deterioration of the situation it is undertaking this added emergency relief activity, said a press release.

The programme will be carried out in Kishoreganj, Sunamganj, Habiganj, and Netrakona in coordination local government.
