Be efficient
Experts have asked newly recruited bankers to show professional skills and efficiency in performing duties since it is essential for attaining success in the banking sector.
They stressed the need for making banking activities client-friendly by ensuring transparency and accountability in providing services.
The speakers were addressing the inaugural session of a six-week foundation training course for 27 newly recruited officers of Rajshahi Krishi Unnayan Bank (RAKUB) at its training institute in Rajshahi on Wednesday.
RAKUB Chairman Nazrul Islam addressed the session as the chief guest while its Managing Director Kazi Alamgir and General Manager Mozammel Haque spoke as special guests with principal of the institute Ataur Rahman in the chair.
The speakers highlighted the importance of the bank in agricultural development of the northwest Bangladesh and asked the officers to apply the knowledge acquired from the training in the professional field properly for boosting agricultural production in the region.
“You have to build yourselves as competent bankers through the best use of knowledge you acquired from the training,” said Nazrul Islam.
The key objective of the course was to improve skills and attitude alongside enhancing professional competence of the officers through disseminating ideas about operations, administration and other related matters of the bank.
