Barisal man to die for killing wife

A Barisal court yesterday sentenced a man to death for killing his wife on February 1, 2010.
The convict -- Mostofa Sardar, 40, of Lalkheraj Kasba village in Barisal -- was also fined Tk 50,000.
Public prosecutor of the court said Mostofa strangled his first wife Kohinur Begum following a quarrel over his second marriage with Vulu Begum. Later, victim's father lodged a murder case accusing three.
