Bangabandhu speeches, messages, photos collected in single volume

A new book titled “Bangladesh” featuring 527 speeches and statements, 32 messages, three interviews and 221 rare pictures of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman was unveiled yesterday.

The 1,080-page book also contains five essays written by Banganbandhu himself and 12 articles on him, and 17 historic records.

Dhaka University Vice Chancellor Prof AAMS Arefin Siddique, Lawmaker Quazi Sirazul Islam and Bangabandhu Lalitokola Academy's CEO Jahid Hossain edited the book.

It took 10 years to edit the book, said DU VC Prof Arefin yesterday at a press conference in his lounge.

The book is available for Tk 2,500 at Sahitya Prakash on Topkhana Road in the capital.
