Ashraful for road, rail links with China

Stating that a land route connected Bangladesh and China a long time ago, Awami League General Secretary Syed Ashraful Islam yesterday stressed the need for re-establishing road and rail routes for mutual benefits and said this would be discussed during President Xi Jinping's October 14 visit.

The public administration minister was addressing a programme organised by Bangladesher Samyabadi Dal in the capital with its general secretary and former minister Dilip Barua in the chair, marking China's 67th National Day.
