ACC announces guideline on graft allegations

The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has announced a guideline for complainants asking them to submit their graft allegations to the commission which are under its jurisdiction.

In a statement yesterday, the national anti-graft agency said these days the commission has been receiving a huge number of graft allegations, but it has no jurisdiction to conduct probes into all of them.

As per the ACC act, it has the jurisdiction to conduct probes if people take bribes while performing duty in the government offices, accumulate illegal wealth, and plunder money from banks, financial institutions and the government offices. It also has the authority to probe money-laundering cases, forgery by the government and bank officials, and some other issues.

The commission urged people to submit allegations related to these issues to its Segunbagicha head office in the capital, divisional and zila offices.
