Abducted boy murdered, 2 held

Police yesterday arrested two “abductors” and recovered the body of a schoolboy with his throat cut from a hilly area of Karerhat Jorarganj in Mirsarai upazila of Chittagong following their information.

On June 6, Farhan Sakib Rifat, 15, son of Nasir Ahmed of the upazila, told his parents that he was going out with their neighbour Sarwar, 28, and did not return.

The next day, the family filed a general diary. During primary interrogation, the arrestees, Sarwar's brother Hosne Mobarak Rubel and Shahidul Islam, admitted that they abducted Sakib for ransom. Sarwar is absconding.
