8 audio-video pirates held in capital

Eight members of an audio-video pirate gang were arrested in the capital yesterday, said a press release of Rapid Action Battalion (Rab).

The arrestees were the owner of Desh Unani Herbal Mohammad Hakim, Sagor alias Jony, Raju, Jewel, Azim, Babu, Hera and Abu Bakkar. 

Acting on a tip-off, a team of Rab-3 conducted drives  in  different  areas in the capital and  arrested  them  along with two fire arms, a sharp weapon, Yaba pills and instruments of audio-video piracy. 

Legal actions are underway in this regard.
