52 to vie for each CU seat
Around 52 candidates will vie for each of the 4,791 seats during this year's admission tests at Chittagong University.
A total of 2,44,779 candidates have applied for the tests of 2016-17 session under 10 units, said Deputy Registrar SM Akbar Hossain.
In the G-unit test 26,073 students will fight for each of the 140 seats while in the E-unit test 20,687 aspirants will vie for 136 seats.
In the A-unit test 32,779 candidates will compete for 551 seats and in B-unit test around 47,783 candidates will compete against 1,498 seats.
Around 31,666 applicants have applied to take part in the C unit admission test with 751 seats available while under D-unit around 37,690 candidates will vie for 890 seats. In F-unit test, 29,298 candidates will vie for 576 seats. On the other hand, 8,533 applicants will fight for 114 seats under I-unit, 9,019 for 92 seats under J-unit and 1,257 for 43 seats under
H-unit.
Last year, around 2,11,952 candidates vied for 4,653 seats while 33,000 more applicants have applied this year.
The admission test will begin on October 23 and continue till October 31. Details of the tests can be found on www.cu.ac.bd
