3 held with 71 gold bars in Benapole, Sylhet

Three people were arrested with 71 gold bars in Benapole and Sylhet yesterday, according to reports from our correspondents.

Benapole Customs Intelligence arrested two men with 11 gold bars at a checkpoint of Benapole Port Police Station.

Anjan Saha is from Kolkata while Lavlu Bapari from Sariatpur, said customs officials.

In Sylhet, Immigration Police arrested Iqbal Hossain of Chittagong with 60 gold bars weighing 6.96kg at Osmani International Airport, said Bhabesh Dewan, assistant revenue officer at the airport.
