2 arrested for killing girl, another held for rape

A man has been arrested for killing his seven-year-old niece in Gazipur on Friday to frame his rivals, whom he had a land dispute with, for the crime.

Police arrested Ripon Mian, 35, and his associate Rabiul in the capital's Rampura on Monday and recovered the knife which had been used to slit the throat of Nazneen.

Meanwhile, on Monday night, an 18-year-old youth was arrested in Sreepur area hours after raping his four-year-old girl in her house.
